Client Testimonials

"Whether you're brand new to dog training or an experienced trainer looking to elevate your skills, Melissa is truly a hidden gem to be found amongst dog trainers in the Greater Houston area! Everything she does is focused on growing the dog's confidence and building a strong trusting relationship between dog and handler. Her advice and tips are always given with kindness and a desire to see her clients succeed. Perhaps most importantly, Melissa is a true dog lover. You can tell in the way she talks about her own dogs, how she interacts with her clients dogs, and her approach to training. My dog, Pax, and I are now into our second year of Therapy Work where we visit hospitals, schools, and attend large events weekly.  We couldn't have made it without the rock solid foundation Melissa helped us achieve. I would highly recommend her services to anyone who is looking for an experienced, thoughtful, and passionate trainer!"

E. Walker, Cypress, Tx

"Melissa started to work with my Cavapoo, Biggles, when he was just a few months old. He loved her visits, and she is so kind and understanding. As well as puppy training, she also gave me a lot of good advice on doggie nutrition. Melissa is very reliable and punctual, and invariably arrived with a dog toy or two. Biggles is a bit of a wild man, but he quickly learned to sit, stay and roll over. He was always super excited to see Melissa, and my husband and I looked forward to her visits too."

S. Hull, Cypress, Tx

"I had the privilege of taking my 2 dogs (Shepherd and Rhodesian Ridgeback) to Melissa's scent/nose work training class. Melissa was amazing! She was patient when my dogs would act up and she helped coach me on how to better work with my dogs to get them to do what I wanted them to do. She's very friendly, patient with people that are new to scent/nose work training, she was great with the dogs, and she explained things well. I highly recommend her for scent/nose work training or any other training you would like to do with your dogs!"

L. Self, Winnie, Tx

I was fortunate to have worked with Melissa during my GSD's early developmental stages. She provided a safe, well maintained learning environment with exceptional written, demonstrative and verbal instructions in a small group setting. She provided support even after the classes were completed. She didn't just train my dog; she trained me as well.  She provides multiple different situations, and the dogs thrive with her patient and consistent approach.  I live 2.5 hours from her, and I would drive every single week to train with her because she is absolutely a consummate professional who provides support even after completion of the course. I recommend her, without hesitation, and if I ever needed any type of training for my dog, she is the only person I would trust.

Very helpful course and Melissa is amazing! The online classes help to see some of the lessons in action, in between our in-person training sessions. I would definitely recommend Melissa and her training to anyone!
